He said
D
"Boys, I don't care that you're way out here

But you look a little young for all that beer"

And when he got close
                         A
I couldn't tell who that was
           G                 A
He said "I ain't the cops, I ain't your parents
G                             A
Boys, you're dealing with the county sheriff"

So I said

So buddy won't you

G                                A
Take a sip and help us finish it tonight
                      D
I ain't giving you an attitude
                           Bm
But I can tell you're in a bad mood
           G                                     A
And just a little bit will have you feeling just right

Me and the boys sneaking out again
        Bm
A quick turnaround it was the next weekend
           G                             A
We had the single cab all filled up with smoke
   D
He came up quick and tapped on the glass
  Bm
I dropped that joint and sat up real fast
           G
And when I saw who it was
              A
Damn I almost choked
        G
Well it wasn't the cops
   A
It wasn't our parents
       G                  A
It was our old friend the county sheriff

So I said

                    D
We can share if you want to
         Bm D Bm
So buddy won't you
G                                A
Take a hit and help us finish it tonight
                      D
I ain't giving you an attitude
                           Bm
But I can tell you're in a bad mood
           G                                     A
And just a little bit will have you feeling just right
